Patients & families

We are not enrolling yet. You can still tell us you are there.

Azalla is a preclinical company. Neither of our compounds has been given to a human being, there is no clinical trial to join today, and we cannot supply an investigational medicine outside a regulated study. What we can do is keep a list, so that when a trial opens we are not starting from scratch — and neither are you.

Where we are

Honestly, and without the usual softening

What is done

Both compounds have completed laboratory characterization and animal proof-of-concept studies. We know what they do to the immune signals that drive dermatomyositis and multiple sclerosis, and we know they can be given by mouth.

What comes next

The formal safety studies regulators require before any human dosing — called IND-enabling work — then an application to the FDA. Only after the FDA allows that application can a first clinical trial begin.

What that means for timing

This stage takes time, and it is measured in years, not months. We will not put a date on this page that we cannot stand behind. When there is a trial, this page will say so.

If you would like to be told when a clinical trial opens, add your name here. We ask for as little as possible — just a name and an email address. Please do not tell us about your medical situation on this form. This is a notification list and nothing more. It is not a trial application, it does not enroll you in anything, it does not create a doctor–patient relationship, and it gives you no priority for a future study.

J-041 and J-019 are investigational compounds. They have not been evaluated in humans, are not approved by any regulatory authority, and nothing on this page is a claim that either compound is safe or effective. Azalla does not provide medical advice.
